SPECS Building, University of Hertfordshire We were extremely honoured to have been awarded the substantial passive fire protection package on the new state of the art School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science building at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield by the main contractor Morgan Sindall, Northern Home Counties Region. Another contract won with an extremely pro-active and forward thinking contractor. Huge thanks must go to all at Morgan Sindall for putting their trust in IMS Fire Protection to work on another contract together. Our works commenced in the latter end of 2022 and will be ongoing well into 2023. Initially we will be involved in applying Sherwin Williams’ intumescent basecoat along with a decorative black top seal. With five floors and extending over 15,000 square metres in floor area it will be the largest single structure on the University’s Campus.

Student Accommodation, Barn Road, Norwich We were awarded the intumescent painting to the Ground Floor Car Park steel frame on this project for our valued Client, HG Construction. We applied Sherwin Williams’ intumescent basecoat and decorative top seal in white. It turned out to be quite a difficult contract due to constant weather & site restrictions but by working closely with the Main Contractor the project was successfully handed over and is now in use close to the centre of Norwich
