Managing Director: Ian Seward B.Sc., MCIOB, Tech IOSH Ian has been in the construction industry since starting out as a trainee quantity surveyor in private practice for Baker, Wilkins & Smith in 1976. He gained his degree in Quantity Surveying from what is now Nottingham Trent University, and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. In addition he is a Technician member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health. After working as a quantity surveyor at varying levels in professional practice, and for various construction companies and subcontractors he formed IMS Fire Protection Limited in 1997. Initially working out from his own house, the Company moved to rented offices in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, where it stayed for a number of years before relocating to its current offices in the Stratford Office Village at Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes. Ian now oversees the overall running of the Company, but giving special attention to the Commercial and Health & Safety aspects.
Andrew King: Director (with responsibility for Pre-Tender & On Site Works) Andrew has been involved in the passive fire protection industry for nearly 30 years and has had the privilege of working on a huge variety of projects with some of the country’s biggest construction companies. He has successfully worked his way from being “on the tools” up to Company Director and has a vast knowledge of both practical and technical applications which can be passed on to our various clients. Andrew has always maintained that we should offer the highest level of service with a personal commitment to all our clients. The overall result of this commitment being the amount of repeat business we achieve
